The Rundown

So changes....I'm not one for change. Especially a lot of changes at once. I'm also not one for chaos and busyness. I like things orderly. Routine is fabulous.

Well, the last couple of months have thrown that totally off.

We've been busy. Extremely busy.

The rundown;

Elijah turned 6 on April 9th. He's smart, funny, and full of energy. He had an ice cream extravaganza with some friends for his birthday. So cute to see a bunch of 6 year old kids running around with a massive sugar high.

 (Elijah's birthday lunch at Sushi 1.)

My little sister graduated from college in May. I am more than proud of her, as she is the only college graduate in our immediate family. My siblings flew in for the ceremony. We were all tired, but enjoyed each others company. It was a weekend full of parties and Mother's Day. Friends and family time always makes me happy.

Austin turned 10 on May 23rd. He's so sweet and thoughtful. He also thinks that he's older than he is. And he's going to be a heart breaker. Good Lord, help us.

Because he turned 10, his big birthday gift was a trip to the Rockies game with two friends. That was the second Rockies game that we were able to go to in one week. It was a grand old time.
(Rockies game with Ryan, the boys and me.)
Ryan is old now. He turned 33 on Memorial Day. He got a BBQ with friends and family, and a trip to Comedy Works in Denver to see Mike Birbiglia a couple of weeks later. Ah-mazing!

Ryan's little sister, Charis, got married two weeks ago.  Beautiful wedding, and beautiful bride. Elijah was one of the ring bearers. He stopped to show me the rings on his way down the aisle.

Somewhere between all of the birthdays, graduations, weddings, and end of school craziness-we traded in our aging cars and got a mini-van. I loooooove it. Even though I feel really, really old now.

I also started working from home doing child care for my cousin's two adorable girls. The boys are adjusting pretty well to the changes in routine. We've had a bit of a break due to sickness and vacations. Starting in mid-July we should be back on track.

A new routine, and some semblance of order should be in place.

I hope.
